Charity Receives New Commercial Fridge and Freezer

Commercial refrigerators aren’t the sexiest of appliances, but they’re necessary to have for any restaurant, bar, or foodservice establishment. No refrigerator, no restaurant, and that’s just the way it is. Homeless shelters and nonprofits need commercial refrigerators as well, and they’re often forgotten.

Fortunately, there are people out there who hear the need for commercial refrigerators, and give to their favorite charities. For instance, St. Vincent de Paul in Pocatello, Idaho, just received a new commercial refrigerator and freezer. They were provided grants from the Idaho Community Fund, the Food Bank, and donations.

The new equipment will help them operate a food pantry where they can help out the people in the area. “We want to be able to hold and provide more fresh food, especially produce,” said Sister Maria, one of the people spearheading the project.

People need the help in this town and in communities all across the country. Some are embarrassed to ask for the help and others know they need the help but don’t know where to get it. The commercial refrigerators that they put on site will help out in providing a little relief for pockets of food desert that are out there.

Giving is one of the best things that you can do for both yourself and the people around you, whether you’re giving your resources or your time.
