You’ve got your standard fast food restaurants, but there are also those which make you admire the concept or the creativity. There’s one such place near where we live. Their premise is that they serve food that you want to eat when you’re stoned.
The restaurant is run by a couple of old hippies who have probably had their share, but what’s more interesting is the food that’s served there. They’re dedicated to the farm to table movement, serving food in their restaurant that isn’t processed. What’s more is that their burgers are hand made on a real Toastmaster countertop griddle (at least we think that it’s one of those, can’t be sure). They don’t bring their patties out of the freezer to thaw, they bring them out of the fridge.
Having amazing burgers is just one part of the equation. They’ve got a bunch of sides which are well worth it. Think about deep fried gyoza that use the light batter like tempura. Get creative with your toppings, like putting cranberry mayo onto the burger – maybe a little peanut butter or chocolate?
To take advantage of your own creativity, all you have to do is have the equipment and the willingness to give it a shot. Restaurant equipment is wonderful, but the creativity to back it up is priceless.
