October 1st means…Halloween! Finally, we can celebrate! Assuming that your restaurant is doing some sort of theme or celebration for Halloween, we have some perfect, bone-chilling drinks just for your event. What better way to get into spooky season than to celebrate with some themed alcohol! Here are some spooky drinks below:
Blood and Bones Cocktail
- 1 cup whipped cream vodka
- 1 cup strawberry cream soda
- 1 cup soda water
To make small, spooky molds for your drink, place milk in a small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin over the milk and stir for 5 minutes. Pour the mixture into a skeleton mold, or something of that nature, and let sit in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. Combine the vodka, cream soda, and soda water in a measuring cup and place the mold into a glass. Pour the mixture over the mold and you’ve got a Blood and Bones Cocktail!
Cranberry is the New Black Cocktail
- Black vodka—yes it exists!
- Black food coloring
- Crème de cassis (black currant liqueur)
- Sparkling cranberry juice
- Ice
Fill a glass 2/3 full of ice and add a large measure of vodka to the glass. (If using clear vodka, you can add a drop of black food coloring). Then add a small measure of crème de cassis and top with sparkling cranberry juice and stir.
Halloween Sangria
Rejoice for sangria!
- ¼ cup of sugar
- 2 bottles cabernet sauvignon
- 1 cup orange juice
- ¼ cup orange liqueur
- 24 ounces club soda, chilled
- 2 oranges, thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
Bring the sugar and 1 ¼ cups water to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved and remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Then combine the sugar mixture, red wine, orange liqueur and juice in a container and let chill for 4 hours. Stir in club soda, orange, and blackberries right before serving.
