Pennsylvania is known for chocolate thanks to the Hershey corporation, and there is a museum dedicated to the company and the product they make. They also have a cafe inside museum, but there are about to be some major changes. The Hershey Pantry, a very popular restaurant in Derry, PA, has now taken over the space and opened a satellite cafe.
The owners of The Hershey Pantry are thrilled at the move into the Hershey Museum because it offers them an opportunity to introduce their food to a broader audience. Their main restaurant regularly has people in lines going out the door. The museum is pleased as well. “The Pantry was our first consideration because they have such a good reputation in Hershey,” says the museum director.
Of course, the restaurant is going to have to offer some new items and some Hershey branded desserts. But they certainly don't mind that! Some of the new items will reflect the tastes of the founders of the Hershey company with an emphasis on French pastries.
