Ice cream is one of those things that many people enjoy. According to the International Dairy Foods Association, a little over 10% of all the milk produced goes to ice cream. It’s no wonder that we consider it a year-round thing. Despite what some people say, any time is a good time for dipping ice cream out of a True horizontal freezer. What are your favorite flavors?
Most folks really enjoy chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate chip cookie dough, but that doesn’t mean that there can’t be other flavors in the freezer. With most sales of ice cream going to private label ventures, that means that there is a lot of experimentation out there.
If you were going to start your own ice cream shop, would you want it to be like a Coldstone Creamery or something like a Baskin Robbins? Or, would you want to break into the world of frozen custard?
Regardless of what you choose, it’s still a great time to start considering your push into the ice cream business – perhaps make it something like a coffee shop. Or, create your coffee and ice cream shop in a little boutique store.
