There’s one part of the cooler seasons that we love: people rediscover the joy of soups. Now, there are some of us in the office who will slurp on soup any time of the year, regardless of what temperature it is outside. There are others who would prefer to wait until they have to wear a sweater. Frankly, give us a Robot Coupe Immersion Blender and some squash, and we’ll be happy.
Don’t you love the creamy nature of a good squash soup? We do. We found a recipe over here that includes apples, apple concentrate, acorn squash, and other things – just thinking about it is warming.
As creatives working in restaurants, you’ve got a couple of options: do I make the same thing that’s on the menu or do I experiment? Given the chance, we would create a strange price fixe menu that had chef’s choice meals.
And, during the winter months, we would have wonderfully tasty soups like tomato soup and acorn squash soup, and root vegetable soups that would all use the immersion blender. Put the soup with some stunning homemade sodas… yes, we wax romantic here.
