One of the things that we like to do in our spare time is read over the restaurant inspection reports. We’ve found something troubling: there are a huge number of restaurants out there who have refrigerators which are not up to snuff.
That’s right. These refrigerators have inoperable thermometers, or even no thermostats at all. This is a sure-fire way to get points taken off during inspection time, as being able to know the right temperature is essential to pass.
This is one place where one of the new Empura reach in refrigerators would help. Not only are they compact and suited for restaurant use, all of them are NSF approved. The biggest point is that the thermostats on the fridges keep food nicely cold between 33 and 38 degrees.
The Empura accommodates several sheet pans, and you’re also able to rearrange the kitchen at your leisure since the refrigerators have casters attached to them. There are so many reasons to love the Empura reach-in refrigerators – not the least of which being that their quality helps restaurants pass inspection.
Many of the fridges even have locks on them to prevent unauthorized people in the kitchen from raiding the fridge. If you’ve got a problem with someone nabbing the expensive ingredients for themselves, this will keep the away.
What kind of fridge do you use? We’d love to know in the comments.
