Knoxville Restaurants are Expanding

Customers demand more, and so restaurant owners have to demand more from their front and back staff, their dishwashers, and everything in between. No longer is it okay (if it ever was) to allow the Baker’s Pride Gas Floor Fryer to go a day or three without cleaning the oil to make sure every dish was at its maximum flavor.

That means that when a restaurant expands, or a hotel decides to really explore the restaurant business, they can’t skimp on the experience that they expect to give. One hotel in downtown Knoxville, the Oliver Hotel, is doing it right by preparing for a huge change.

Ethan Orley, one of the owners, wants to break the mold. He wants to give Knoxville an experience within his restaurant. The Oliver Royale is going to take over. “It won’t look like anyplace else in Knoxville,” says Orley.

Other places will experience more of a push, too. Custom drinks can be had at the Peter Kern Library, a speakeasy bar which is with the Oliver. We’re looking forward to November when the changes happen, and there will be a new menu and new look in town. It should be a totally fun experience.
