The pasta makers are no longer working at one restaurant. An Augusta, GA Macaroni Grill recently went up in flames. It wasn’t merely the loss of a building for some, it was the loss of something special – a legacy of family and togetherness.
“I feel like I’m losing a family because chances of us all going to the same place after this are not likely.” A restaurant is indeed made up of its dedicated staff. Take a look at the people with whom you work – that one there with the crazy jokes, perhaps someone else who is quiet and yet the nicest person that you’ll ever meet. The combination is what makes a restaurant more of a home rather than merely a place to work.
The local Goodwill Job Connection is helping out these folks. They are stepping up their efforts to offer positions to the recently displaced workers of the Macaroni Grill, enlisting the assistance of local restaurants and eateries in the process.
The Augusta National Golf Club, Sage Valley Golf Club, Chick Fil-A and other establishments are lending a hand by advertising their jobs with the Goodwill Job Center. We know that you’re advertising your jobs on the big places, but have you taken a look at hiring from the local pools? There might be some great people out there who have been overlooked.
