Popular Deli Meats

We recently took a trip to our favorite deli this weekend. The True deli cases were filled to the brim with meats and cheeses, and they’d recently gotten in a shipment of artisanal pickles to go with the whole mix. We don’t know where they get their meats, but we do know that they come from all around the world, as fresh as fresh can be.

What are some popular deli meats?

Bologna – Bologna has come a long way from the sandwiches which we ate as children. The flavors have become much more sophisticated, and the spices are unmatched. A little myrtle berry, anyone?

Ham – Ham is absolutely delicious, and the recipes for ham sandwiches abound. Not only that, but you can offer quite a lot of varieties of ham in your True deli case, from honey ham, to boiled ham, to smoked… you can get it all at your favorite delis.

Turkey – This was surprising to us. Turkey is one of the most bought cold cut in America. You can get turkey sandwiches, turkey salad, and even more. The most pointed endorsement for turkey is that the bird is fairly low in calories and it has the reputation of lowering cholesterol. High protein, lowered fat, where can you go wrong?

When you go to the deli, what do you get from the case? We’d love to hear from you in the comments.
