When you run your own restaurant, you have the ability to decide where your profits go to – whether you’re interested in getting a new Manitowoc ice machine or something a little more subtle. In one newly opened restaurant, the owner has decided to donate all of his profits to charity.
That’s right. 100%. Then again, the owner is Moby, and he isn’t running the restaurant to survive; he’s running it for his cause. “Opening Little Pine was never meant to be a conventional entrepreneurial endeavor. I want it to present veganism in a really positive light, and also help to support the animal welfare organizations who do such remarkable work.”
Little Pine is a vegan restaurant, committed to serving the highest quality food around. There are so many places where one can go in this day and age, it’s refreshing to see somewhere where the owner isn’t interested in turning a profit – just serving good food to the public.
There are a few other non profit restaurants out there, but they’re few and far between. You can find one of them in New York, and still another in Portland, OR. Wherever you are, there are nonprofits who are willing to team up with you and produce great food.
