Revol
Since 1768, 9 generations of the same family have run the Revol company. The Revol story began in Lyon, France when the children of two pottery families got married. The 2nd generation of the family opened a workshop in Saint-Uze in 1800. Soon, the workshop grew into a factory. The company began to specialize in stoneware that is known for being a very resistant material with hygienic properties. Revol expanded its production and participated in many national fairs during the second half of the 19th century.
Revol entered the twentieth century, switching from an artisan manufacturing process to more advanced technologies. However, World War II impacted the French and European economies and the factory infrastructures. By 1980, the company changed to exclusively manufacturing porcelain and became Revol Porcelain. REVOL spread into the international markets with the creation of culinary products that combine both aesthetics and functionality. Since then, REVOL has evolved from being an oven to table brand to a design-oriented company now offering new dinnerware lines that combine the quality of professional foodservice with the look and feeling of cozy home-dining.
In the 21st century, Revol added an American warehouse in Georgia. This warehouse stocks and distributes the products that arrive from the French factory via containers. Today, REVOL is proud to be at the top of innovation and design, equipping the most demanding kitchens, whether those of famous chefs or everyday cooks.
