There is a 5-stage filtration process for the EV433913 Claris X-Large filter cartridge: (1) Prefiltering that removes coarse particles, (2) Ion exchange process that adjusts the carbonate hardness, (3) Fine filtration, (4) Removes contaminants, unpleasant tastes and odors with high-efficiency carbon block, (5) Particles removed to 5 microns (µm) by a solid membrane filter.
