Half Door Pass-In and Pass-Through Freezers

Half-door or pass-through freezers are usually smaller freezers that store frozen foods such as pizzas, french fries, and other frozen foods. They are usually designed with an open the door to allow frozen products to be easily loaded and unloaded. Pass-In / Pass-Through Freezers are made from various materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Depending on the intended use, they also come in various designs and sizes. Half door pass-in / pass-through freezers allow for easy transfer of products but with the added benefit of keeping inventory secure inside the freezer. Half-door pass-in / pass-through freezers can be used for anything from storing raw materials to finished goods to perishable food. Depending on the door size and opening, there are two types of half-door pass-in / pass-through freezers – top load and lowest load. These freezers are designed to hold large amounts of product, such as meats, at a low temperature. The front door of the pass-in freezer is usually kept at a higher temperature to allow for the loading and unloading of products and then transferred to the rear door of the unit for chilling.
