Liquor Displays
A commercial bar liquor display is a multi-shelved unit designed to hold bottles of liquor of a wide variety of sizes. The display uses raised shelving to properly present the front of each liquor bottle, with each successive row of bottles elevated behind the previous display shelf. This design feature lets the bartender easily identify and access each liquor bottle. This can also benefit the potential customer in front of the bar, allowing them see the labels on the spirit's bottles and make a selection.
There is a difference between a bar liquor display unit and a countertop liquor display. While a countertop liquor display serves the same function, it is usually limited in size and bottle capacity, while also being designed to sit atop existing bar equipment, stands, or countertops. A bar liquor display unit is a freestanding unit raised off of the ground on sturdy legs, but with the top of the rack lower than standard underbar height. Typically constructed from durable stainless steel, a commercial liquor display often includes back and/or side splashes enclosing the tiers of liquor shelving. A bar liquor display rack may be positioned behind the bartender, creating a back bar liquor display. In other cases, the display unit can be installed as a liquor shelf in front of the bartender, under the bar, giving them easy access without forcing them to turn around to grab the next liquor bottle.
Stainless steel liquor display racks are made by several of the top manufacturers of commercial underbar units, including Krowne, Eagle, and Perlick. Most manufacturers produce several models with different numbers of bottle shelves, ranging from three to five tiers. Each bottle shelving configuration is available in several different widths. In addition, some liquor display models include integrated speed rails with either a single or double row of liquor shelves extending out at the front of the display unit, providing extra shelving and faster access. With such variety to choose from, a commercial bar operator / manager will be able to find the liquor display that suits both their space and their bartenders' workflows.
