Rice Cookers and Rice Warmers

A rice cooker or rice warmer is a kitchen appliance that allows the cooks to prepare rice in a simplified manner by automating the process. Moreover, these appliances keep rice warm for a long duration. Most rice cookers can also be used to steam foods and make porridge, soups, and other types of hot cereal. Most rice cookers are automated and programmed to switch to “warm” mode after the rice is done cooking. Most rice cookers are designed to hold a certain quantity of rice (usually between 3 and 12 cups). Rice cookers and warmers are made from plastic, stainless steel, or non-stick materials. They can be made from one piece or multiple pieces of plastic or stainless steel, or they can be made from one piece of non-stick material. They are also available with or without digital controllers. These appliances are available in both gas and electric models. They are commonly found in Asian, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisines, where rice is a staple food.
